Our Nursery!

Our nursery is finally complete! Our window treatment was just installed and it has totally completed the room! My aunt has really done a beautiful job with all her handmade items. We are so blessed to have our parents who have purchased our furniture and helped us to make the room beautiful. Now all we need is baby :)

32 Weeks!

I am now 32 weeks, which means that in about 2 months we will finally be holding our baby! Joe and I spend countless hours just watching my belly, this little baby can sure put on a show! Baby is super active and keeps me awake every night! Joe was calling the baby a ninja, at first I laughed, now I think it might be true!

Now that I have hit the 32 week mark, I will start seeing my Dr. every 2 weeks, I think I have been to the Dr. more in the last 7 months than I have in my entire life!!

March will be filled with real baby prep! Infant care class, breastfeeding class and a hospital tour. Then I think we will really feel ready. I have been a reading machine, and now that the baby is closer, Joe has even been reading a little too. And by a little, I mean like 4 pages of "What to Expect When You're Expecting". :) I have to say, I am very impressed when he surprises me with bits and pieces or information that he has learned.

The nursery is pretty much complete! My Aunt Nancy made us a window treatment along with the bedding, so her and my Uncle Joe will be coming over this weekend to put it up. After that, I will post some photos of our nursery. We will make adjustments once we know if the baby is a boy or girl of course. Aside from being really tired, I feel pretty good. I think I underestimated how tiring it would be to carry a bowling ball on your belly for months!! It will totally be worth it though!

31 Weeks

One of my best friends, Abby, is an amazing photographer and offered to take some photos for us. She did a really great job, we are trying to figure out our favorite of our little family to put in a frame in the baby's room.

29 Weeks!

77 Days left!!!

I officially have only 11 weeks left!!! 77 days to be exact, but who is counting? I can’t wait to meet this little baby and really hope that the next couple months FLY by.
My belly is growing like crazy, right along with my appetite!! I woke up one morning with a bowl and spoon next to my bed….apparently I ate ice cream in bed and had zero recollection of doing so. Looks like I am about to start really packing on the pounds :) That’s okay, it’s all for the baby, and who doesn’t want to do whatever they can for their child?? Too bad he/she wasn’t craving green beans!
Joe and I just signed up for a few classes to take at Central DuPage Hospital with Mike and Katie. I can only imagine how Mike and Joe will be together in a breastfeeding class. If we get kicked out, I will NOT be surprised at all!
Joe can ALMOST walk again, he is still on the crutches, but after he is done with them, we will be putting more effort into our nursery. I will post some pictures soon!
