Jackson Joseph Santilli

Two new grandbabies!

My adorable new nephew :)

We had a very eventful weekend!! Mike and Katie spent all day Thursday counting contractions and went into the hospital that evening. The whole family spent the day in the waiting room on Friday until Jackson Joseph made his arrival at 7:57. It was so exciting to watch Mike walk out to tell us that he had been born. Jackson is absolutely adorable, we love him already!! Mike, Katie and Jackson are all doing well and can't wait to bring him home!

Ryan is 1 Month Old!!!

Such a happy baby :)
Ryan's first bottle

Tummy time~

We just got back from Ryan's one month check up and he is doing awesome!! Now is the part where I go on and on bragging about how advanced my son is, but I swear he really is! Even the Dr. Said so! :)

He has gained almost 2 lbs and grew a whole inch in just one month! He LOVES to eat, just like his Momma! He is extremely alert, and looks at you when you talk to him. He most definitely knows mine and Joe's voices and is captivated when we talk to him. We told the Dr. that he has been rolling over since day 4, so she put him on his tummy on the table and he just flopped over onto his back in 2 seconds and then threw his arms up in the air like he was saying "look at me!! See, I really can do it!" She said with how alert he is and how he responds to others, he is progressing more like a 2 month old. Joe and I were SO happy to see that our little boy is doing great!

He had to get one shot, which I think I was more traumatized from and had been dreading for days. He cried for one second and as soon as the band-aid was on, he was totally fine and sleeping in his car seat the moment we left the Dr. office.

Our first month with Ryan has been a month I can't even describe. We just love this little boy so so much and can't get enough of him! I can sit at home with him all day long and be totally satisfied. Sometimes I don't eat until 12:00, shower at all and forget to brush my teeth, but I think that's just the mark of a new mommy. I only forgot to brush my teeth one day, so don't judge. :) He is worth a cavity or 2 anyway! I just love him to pieces and I can't wait for him to wake up right now so that I can snuggle and play with him!

My First Mother's Day!

It was so wonderful to experience my first Mother's Day! Me, Joe and Ryan spent Saturday with our families to celebrate with our moms and then we had all of Sunday to relax, just the 3 of us. It was such a nice day! I didn't care about anything but spending the day with my boys! Around 11:00 am, Joe took Ryan on a little secret mission to get my present. About an hour and a half later, they returned. Joe looked completely defeated and I could tell that Ryan had been crying like crazy. Joe had taken little Ryan to the Painted Penguin, which is a store in our mall that you can take ceramic items and paint on them. So Joe's idea was to take a ceramic piece that said Mother on it and have Ryan's handprint put on it in paint. Well, I got a big blue blob of paint on my ceramic piece and a little boy who needed a bath immediately upon his arrival home because he had blue paint all over his hands and on his outfit! It was the thought that counted. It meant the world to me!

Pictures by Abby!!

Ryan is SOO lucky that his Auntie Abby is a phenomenal photographer!! She came over and spent a few hours with us and took the most amazing priceless photos! They are so good that when I took the CD to Target to get my pictures printed out, they needed a signed release form from Abby because the pictures were "obviously taken by a professional". Here are just a few for your viewing pleasure :)
